Hi, my name is Divya Bhakta and I am a senior at South Forsyth High School. This year I have had the great opportunity to be mentored by a biomedical engineer at Aziyo Biologics. I have learned a great deal about what it means to be a biomedical engineer in the real world and the many responsibilities each engineer has. Additionally, this internship has made me realize that engineering combines both creativity and analytics and that it is the right career path for me. I hope to continue studying biomedical engineering in college!
Apart from this internship experience, I have completed the Computer Programming pathway at my school and I am an active member in National Technical Honors Society and FBLA. I hope to take computer science classes in college as well. When I'm not participating in school activities, I enjoy drawing, running, and reading. In my free time, I try to volunteer at the Humane Society and I hope to participate in the travel abroad opportunities in college.
